Big weekend!

It's a very big weekend for Civil Indigent! The film is screening at two film festivals!

Catch it at the Global Peace Film Festival in Orlando, FL on Friday the 23rd at 5:45pm, and then on Saturday the 24th at 3:30pm. Both times we'll be screening with a film called One in Seven: The New Face of Hunger, which we've heard great things about.

On Sunday the 25th Civil Indigent will screen at the Clearwater Film & Music Festival in Clearwater, FL. That's at 8:45pm.

Good times! We're really thrilled to be screening at these two awesome festivals! We've still got DVDs and soundtracks for sale (you can get the soundtrack digitally now)! Remember that every sale we make helps us pay for more festival entry fees and travel to these festivals!

More updates to come... Including a video post-script to the film! Stay tuned!

Pat's at it again! (UPDATED!)

Pat was arrested in Orlando yesterday for violating a city ordinance that prevents people from distributing food in a public park without a permit.

Moving and shaking!

Well, we made it as far as the national finals for the Student Academy Awards. C'est la vie. But to make up for it we've got two great pieces of news to report!

First, we've got DVDs and soundtrack CDs for sale on our website! Buy a copy for yourself or a friend, or if you'd like t show the film publicly through a community organization we have copies for that too! As always, we're happy to help publicize community screenings. Just drop us a line.

Second, we're very proud to announce that Civil Indigent has just won a CINE Golden Eagle Award!

Thanks again to everyone who has supported the film!

(Student) Academy Award Nomination!

When it rains, it pours... Good rain! We just found out that Civil Indigent is one of the regional winners for the 38th Annual Student Academy Awards! Now what does this mean? I'm not entirely sure myself. But here's what we know: The film will now compete against all of the winners from our region and other regions. We should find out in a few weeks if Civil Indigent is a national winner!

Until then, all of the regional (region II, that is) winners will be screening at the Gene Siskel Film Center tomorrow night! Our fingers are crossed as we move into the next round of judging, but we're thrilled to have made it this far. Screening at the Gene Siskel Center is truly an honor. Wish we could be in Chi-town to see it!

Siskel Film Center screening:
Thursday April 28th, 6:30pm
Free and open to the public!

Civil Indigent Goes West!

Well, we took home the second place prize at the Student Em--er, I mean, College Television Awards! A fantastic experience. Met and mingled with other young filmmakers and journalists. Everyone was very interested to hear about Civil Indigent and the meal limit controversy, and the trailer absolutely killed at the awards ceremony! What can we say? The people love Pat!

Check out our Facebook page to see a few pictures from the event!
