Civil Indigent: The Documentary
Posted by
Nick
Welcome to the official blog of Civil Indigent, a documentary about outspoken homeless activist Francis 'Pat' Fitzpatrick and his run for a seat on the Gainesville, Fl City Commission. The film will follow Fitzpatrick over the course of his five month campaign, and reveal the origins of his passion for helping those who are down on their luck. A relentless voice for those who don't have one, a addiction counselor who battles his own vices, a die hard fan of the Florida Gators, and a compassionate lay-member of the Franciscan brotherhood, Fitzpatrick is a larger than life character on an unimaginable mission. Filming has begun on this project, which is the graduate thesis film for filmmakers Nick Corrao, David Hafter, and Peter Salomone as they complete their masters degrees at the Documentary Institute at the University of Florida.
